How to remember?

Originally, this Kanji meant "nose". But it has lost this meaning in modern Japanese and Chinese. When people are pointing at themselves, they point at their noses. So we use this Kanji to express the meaning "self".

Radical

This Kanji itself is a radical.

Do not confuse this Kanji with:

-which means "eye"

-which means "white"
