How to remember?

Originally, the right part 頁 meant "head". But this Kanji is rarely used in Japanese nowadays and only means "page". 豆 indicates the Chinese style pronunciation and has nothing to do with the meaning "head".

頭, however, has two eyebrows on the top, a mouth on the left and an eye on the right. It looks like a Picasso style painting of a human head.

The radical of this Kanji is (おおがい).

Do not confuse this Kanji with:

-which means "nod"

The simplified form used in Chinese:

-which is only used in Mainland China, not in Japan, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
