How to remember?

The original meaning of the design of this Kanji is that the centre part is sea weed and fish eggs are attached to it. But I have come up with a new way to remember this Kanji.

It looks like the anatomical view of human's female reproductive system.

1. The red part is the womb.
2. The green parts are the ovaries.
3. The two blue dots are egg cells stored in the ovaries.

Instead of imitating the oval shape of a bird egg, this Kanji indicates where the egg cells are located.

The radical of this Kanji is 卩(ふしづくり).

Do not confuse this Kanji with:

-which means "mark"

This Kanji can also be written as:

玉子, when we are referring to egg as food
